Today was such a thrill. I seriously couldn’t stop smiling on my drive home from FOX 13’s studio. I’m completely floored by all the attention I’ve received and want to thank all of you for wanting to follow along with me.
I was so nervous I would stutter and make a fool of myself. I think I said 20 prayers to just feel calm. I kept thinking, “just pretend like I’m talking to one of my neighbors.” All the people there were so nice and made me feel so comfortable.
One of the young camera men, who was wearing a funky shirt, asked me what I would do with the shirt he was wearing. I told him, “I’d probably throw it right into the garbage can.” It made everyone in the room, including him, erupt into laughter. He knew it was a joke and was it really calmed my nerves to hear everyone laugh.
I got to meet “Big Buddha” who I remember watching on television growing up and almost sang him the big Buddha song, but held back the urge.
It was all a really great experience and I’m feeling so happy that I’ve gotten to experience something so new and out of my comfort zone. It is something that I can put on my bucket list of things to accomplish in this life.
