This little kitty of mine loves to follow me around and wanted to get in every picture. I love how friendly she it!
This skirt was such an easy sewing project. I think it took me two hours to make and I decided to make it after making this Plaid Suspender Skirt. The pattern is the same for both skirts, I just added suspenders to the Plaid skirt.
This Medieval Blue Suede is a dream to work with and only $12.99 a yard. If you download the Joann App you can use the 40% coupon and get it for even cheaper! This material is a Microsuede and has a stretch to but didn't ruffle when I straight stitched it with a basic stitch. I did a slight zigzag stitch on the bottom hem and it didn't ruffle at all. I thought it cut really nicely and was easy to keep lined up for the pattern. It can also be washed in a washing machine which is a must for me.
I adjusted this pattern from Simplicity to make this skirt. I added my own waist band and button fly in the back instead of doing the bib on the dress. I've made this dress before and knew it was an easy pattern to follow.
Also, If you are interested, I got my white turtleneck from Walmart for $9.50. I love finding good deal!
